Founder’s Message

• When I look back at our journey since 2005, I am reminded that Noah’s Ark did not begin as an organization, but as a simple intention — to stand beside those who needed support, dignity, and opportunity.

  What started with training a small group of underprivileged girls in computer and English skills has, over the years, grown into a wider mission of service — reaching children with special needs, empowering women, supporting tribal communities, and caring for the elderly. Each step has been guided not by scale, but by sincerity.

  In times of crisis, whether during the COVID-19 pandemic or natural disasters in vulnerable regions, we have tried to respond with compassion and responsibility. In everyday life, through education, healthcare, and skill development, we continue to work toward building confidence, self-reliance, and hope.

  I strongly believe that true change begins when we recognize the dignity and potential in every human being. Our role is not just to serve, but to walk together — enabling individuals and communities to grow with strength and self-respect.

  As we move forward, our commitment remains the same: to build a society rooted in care, inclusion, and harmony with both humanity and nature.

• Dr. Dipankar Sarkar – Founder, Secretary & Chief Functionary
  The driving force behind Noah’s Ark, leading its mission with deep commitment to service, empowerment, and inclusive development.
• Mrs. Mithu Majumder – Assistant Secretary
  Actively leads multiple initiatives, with a special focus on skill development programs, empowering communities toward sustainable livelihoods.
• Mrs. Saswati Naskar – Treasurer
  An art teacher by profession, ensuring financial stewardship while nurturing creativity and cultural engagement within the organisation.

Our Team

We are a Government-registered society (S/IL/31875 of 2005), working with commitment and consistency since 2005. As a non-denominational, non-profit organization based in Kolkata, our work is guided by a dedicated governing body that brings together experience, compassion, and a shared vision for social change.

Our team functions through a structured system of planning, monitoring, and evaluation, carried out in regular board meetings and our Annual General Meeting — ensuring transparency, accountability, and thoughtful execution of all our initiatives.

Rooted in the values of Care, Charity, Peace, and Justice, we are committed to building a society in harmony with nature, empowering the underprivileged, differently abled, and marginalized communities through inclusive and participatory action
