Story of Love and Care Special School:

I am Dr. Dipankar Sarkar and this is our very special school—Love & Care Special School, supported under the Noah’s Ark initiative.
Here, we serve children with special needs—both mentally and physically challenged—children who are often overlooked and underserved. For the past five years, this school has been a place of safety, dignity, and hope for them.
Our core purpose is simple but deeply meaningful: to reach children who do not have access to quality special education because of the high cost of private institutions. Many families want the best for their children but simply cannot afford it. We try to stand in that gap and offer care, education, and basic life-skills support in a truly charitable way.
What we do may seem small—teaching basic skills, nurturing confidence, creating a routine—but for a special child, these are life-changing steps. And in walking this journey with them, we ourselves are transformed. Alongside our students, we grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They teach us patience, resilience, and unconditional love every single day.
We believe this work is a blessing from God. It is an opportunity to serve children who are often seen as the most vulnerable members of our society, yet who carry immense strength and beauty within them.
To continue this mission and to help this school grow into an even stronger institution of care and learning, we humbly seek your support and participation. Your contribution—whether through resources, encouragement, or partnership—helps us ensure that no child is left behind simply because they are different.
Thank you for standing with us, and for believing in the power of compassion.

A Mother’s Hope Restored: Tauhid Mallick’s Journey

The Challenge
Before coming to Noah’s Ark, Tauhid’s mother shared the deep anxiety many parents of children with special needs feel. She spoke of the struggle to find an environment where her son was not just "managed," but truly understood. Like many, she worried about his future, his ability to communicate, and whether he would ever find a community that embraced him.

The Transformation
Since joining Love&Care from 2018, the change has been profound. Mrs. Mallick highlights three major areas of growth:

Behavioral Progress: Tauhid has become more disciplined and calm.
Skill Development: He has started participating in activities that were previously a struggle, showing a new sense of focus.
A Second Home: The mother notes that the school isn't just a place of study; it is a place where the teachers and staff treat the children with the patience and love of a family.

In Her Own Words
"Earlier, I used to be very worried about his future. But after coming to Noah's Ark, I see the care they provide. Now, I feel a sense of peace knowing he is in the right hands. The progress he has made gives me hope every day."

Empowered Woman’s Testimony : Chunki Bhutia

Chunki Bhutia from Martam Rumtek, Sikkim in her own words “ I am so grateful to get the chance to learn handicrafts making by Noah’s Ark. It’s an opportunity to learn and having my own business to support my family. I wish to see more women like myself getting this opportunity to become economically independent. God bless the trainer and Noah’s Ark.”

Teacher’s Testimony: Rejina Khatun

Rejina Khatun is a dedicated special educator at Love and Care Special School, supported under the Noah’s Ark initiative. She herself is physically challenged and comes from the village of Khagra Muri in South 24 Parganas. Her own life journey gives her a deep understanding of struggle, patience, and resilience—qualities she brings into her teaching every single day.

Rejina does more than teach. She personally reaches out to poor and marginalized families in her village, bringing children with special needs to our school so that they may receive care, education, and dignity—often for the first time in their lives.

One of her most remarkable contributions is her work with Tauheed Mollik, a child with mental challenges who was once extremely hypersensitive and unable to speak. Through consistent effort, compassion, and years of dedicated guidance by Rejina and her team, Tauheed has shown extraordinary progress. Today, he is able to speak, participate in daily activities, create toys, and eat independently—milestones that once seemed impossible.

Tauheed Mollik stands today as one of our true success stories. His transformation reflects the quiet power of committed teaching, patient care, and belief in every child’s potential.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rejina Khatun for her tireless service, her courage, and her unwavering love for the children she serves. Her life and work remind us that true education begins with compassion.
